The tracking study was based on interviews conducted online with a representative sample of car buyers in the UK. The studies commenced in 2009 and have subsequently been conducted in 6 monthly waves. One of the key findings in Dec 2010 is that 6 out of 10 drivers in the UK, saw themselves as driving an electric or hybrid car in the future. The top 3 reasons were 1) Lower emissions 2) Lower fuel costs and 3) Quieter drivetrain.
